"It was my first visit to the Governor General's residence, it was like entering the Royal Palace and l felt like royalty.
We all enjoyed having the tour of the grounds and the Great House such history and historical features
Including beautiful antique furniture, which we admired, but most of all our Excellency Governor General Dame Sandra Mason
was so hospitable and welcome us with such generosity and in such exquisite style.
l felt so overwhelmed to be sitting among such established and honorable women"

The ceremony also saw a number of knights including national hero Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Henry Fraser and Sir Trevor Carmichael. |
Former Governor General, Sir Elliot Belgrave, his wife and Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson, were also in attendance and took their places among those who lined Parliament yard for the arrival of the Prime Minister and the Governor General designate.
