SERMON NOTES: October 13th 2019

Jesus doesn’t just love us we are his delight
We cancel every bad thought the devil is a liar but His grace and truth will rescue you. God said he would be never leave you or forsake you.

Don’t take the goodness of God for granted, God is in charger and He is going to do it right. God will make it happen.

John 1:1-2
Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

Verse 3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

We take our sight for granted if we had to lose it then we will be in peril. spiritually blind is far more perilous than the physical blindness. We will be led to destruction.

Blindness physical is dreadful but Spiritual blindness is worse.

As sight is important to the physical man sight is far more important to the Spiritual man. Without Spiritual sight we fall into the devils traps and tricks.

His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

Thank God the Healer was on the scene, at the right time.

Jesus came to set every captive free He has not forgotten us, and is readily available to meet you in at your point of need.

Spiritual blindness means you are led along by whatever spirit leads you . Leading them down the path leading to the pit.

This man’s blindness was not the fault of him or his parents. We cannot always explain why bad things happen to good people. But we look to God and place our hope in God and rely on His ability to make it right for us.

We do sometimes see some parents actions manifested in their children.

But Jesus said in this case but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

Don’t rush too quickly into judging other people. We have all been born in sin and fallen short of the glory of God. We might look good on the outside and then the inside no good character or morals.

Just the chapter before:
13 The Pharisees therefore said to Him, “You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true.”
14 Jesus answered and said to them, “Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from and where I am going. 15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.

He then went out and performed this powerful miracle.

The man in this story, his parents would have tried everything to heal him, but nothing worked, but along comes Jesus ...

Verse 6b He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. 7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

Immediately he became a disciple and started preaching
8 Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, “Is not this he who sat and begged?”
9 Some said, “This is he.” Others said, “He is like him.” He said, “I am he.”
10 Therefore they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?”
11 He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.”
12 Then they said to him, “Where is He?” He said, “I do not know.”

When God does something great there will always be people that try and cause trouble and division. They will come from all over and find fault in what God did.

13 They brought him who formerly was blind to the Pharisees. 14 Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes. 15 Then the Pharisees also asked him again how he had received his sight. He said to them, “He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.”
16 Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them.

Jesus has come to remove all forms of blindness from you. Whoever looks to Jesus will see.

Everyday of your life is a day of salvation and healing. We must guard our sight. The man became an evangelist. Wherever you are and what condition you are in. You can call on the Lord and He will answer . Only one person has the power to take away our spiritual blindness.
We must not be ashamed of our relationship with God but be free and be able to share his love with others.

Before this man has to be led but now he is leading others preaching the good news

John 9:28-30
28 Then they reviled him and said, “You are His disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples. 29 We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.”
30 The man answered and said to them, “Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes!

John 9:35-38
35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of [g]God?”
36 He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?”
37 And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”
38 Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him.

We must not be ashamed of Jesus let nothing interfere with your relationship with God so not become Spiritually blind

Do not be blinded by the things around you God want us to be free, not blinded.

In spiritual blindness we do not even see we are sinning, call on God He is no further than a call away.

In Revelation 3:20 he said
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone should hear My voice and open the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

You can’t fall far enough for God to not be able to reach you.

Darkness is only removed when the light of the Lord comes
