Text: John 4: 1-10
Subject: If you only knew Jesus at the well with the Samaritan woman

Jesus was a master teacher, his teaching was strengthened by the Word of God.
He was man but He was divine but He connected with His Father. We get so busy doing things for God that we forget to connect with the father, but as Jesus connected wisdom came upon him.
At times he would speak to multitudes, other times He taught on a one on one
Jesus would leave the 99 and go after the one. As the Shepherd he knew every sheep. He knew when one was missing.

Jesus hears that single cry even though there is a crowd. God knows exactly what you are going through and he is concerned about our every need.
As He ministers to one He is able to counsel another at the same time.

God’s extreme, reckless love
There’s no shadow You won’t light up
Mountain You won’t climb up
Coming after me
There’s no wall You won’t kick down
Lie You won’t tear down
Coming after me

Jesus felt compelled to keep a divine appointment with the Samaritan woman.

Jesus ‘needed’ to go to Samaria and today He needed to come to Mount Zion’s Missions.
He meets every need it you only knew the access we have to the LORD

The Samaritan’s were hated by the Jews, because they mixed Jewish religion with pagan beliefs.
But Jesus was a game changer, a challenger of the norm, a transformer a mover and a shaker. Jesus changes the landscape of the Jewish culture. Jesus has one mission that His name would be spread through out the world and He started with Jerusalem and then Samaria. When he got to Samaria his disciples took the example from Jesus and they went into the village to buy food.
God has sent some reminders for us, He has made an appointment to meet you today. He came to remind you that He is your God and you are His people and He wants to dwell with you.
In Jesus time the Jewish men could not talk to women. Some of the Pharisees in those days, tried so hard not to lust that when a woman walked by they would close their eyes and walk right into walls or posts. They would be beaten up so bad they were called “bleeding Pharisees.”

But Jesus waited at the well for this woman. This Samarian woman had no name, it didn’t matter what you think about yourself or what people say about you God has come to meet you today.

If you only knew:
Notice, discern, pay attention

1. The same God that sent the horsemen and chariots of fire to Elisha, 2 Kings 6:16-20, will do the same for you!
a. He knows your situation, He is Omniscient. He is the all sufficient God.
Those that are with you are greater than those against you. May God open your eyes so you can see. Today you need to know He knows your situation. He is your strength, like no other. When you are weak then He is strong. He does not only know how to solve our problems He has power to do it. Psalm 34:7
He knows your situation, He is omniscient. He is all sufficient Psalm 27:3.

b. God has the power to rescue you:
We have a God and He has given us angels to minister to us if we only knew.

2. The same God that anointed David to fight Goliath will anoint you to fight the battle.
a. David knew the process of the struggle. The Lord never forgets those he has anointed and called to his side

That fight may be in your home place, your workplace. The anointing came through the struggle. David knew the process of the struggle. His brothers may be captains and he was only in the wilderness looking after sheep. Lions and bears came at him but in the process of the struggle he got the anointing for the battle.

1 Sam 16: 13
So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.

God’s Word will not return to Him void, if you only knew that every word spoken over your life will come to pass. Is you only knew that anointing is on you for the battle , the enemy sees it

b. Our lives are like a painting on a canvas. God is the painter. We may be a work in progress on earth, but our life pictures are complete in heaven

Psalm 139 God knew you, our lives are like a painting on a canvas. God is the painter, and the picture is finished in heaven, so it doesn’t matter how things look, you are a work in progress. But remember the enemy is coming after you. So God is here to remind you that you are anointed like David.

c. The same God that created the universe will move heaven and earth on your behalf.
If you only knew, perceived, realized the same God sovereignty protects you as He did David.

3. The same God that chose Mary to carry the Christ child is the same God that has chosen you to be His vessel and carry His anointing.
a. When you are obedient to God, expect the spirit of God to come upon you.
Mary was willing to say yes.

Luke 1:38
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

Stop fighting God, say yes and let the power of the Holy Spirit come upon you. Be it unto me according to your will.
God is waiting for you to be obedient. God will anoint you afresh.

4. If you only knew the God that called Peter to walk on the water, if it is you Lord call me to you. If you only knew God is calling you to walk in the Supernatural. “Come”
a. God wants us to walk in the supernatural. When the storms come, God wants us to use what we have to be a stepping stone to him.
Sometimes it’s smooth sailing, and all of a sudden a mighty wind blows up and a storm rages.

In that situation Jesus said “Come”.

There are times you need to sacrificial praise, God responds to it. Stop doing cute, shout and call on “Jesus the son of David have mercy”

God responds to the supernatural, sacrificial prayer, praise! Use your praise as stepping stones.

5. If you only knew the God that can quench every thirst and feed you mamma from Heaven. There is a gift the God has for you and if you only knew the God that impacted a Samarian women but an entire community.
It is offered to the Caribbean, it began there at a well in Samaria, when Jesus transformed her and the region.
Are you at the well alone? Have you been rejected? The Samaria woman was looking for love but at the well that day she found love.

Isaiah 55:1-3.
“Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
3 Give ear and come to me;
listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David.

If you only knew the free gift God has for you.

God had a conversation with me, years ago when I was a teenager, if at that age I only knew what I know now I would have loved Jesus even more.
I had a dream I was baking cookies and when I opened the oven there was only one Ginger bread man. And in the dream God spoke and said " This is my beloved Son, Serve Him."

If you only knew the love God has for you, his angels are encamping around you, I am still your friend, if you only knew I am here to protect you. If you only knew the same God that anointed David to fight Goliath will anoint you to fight the battle.
If you only knew the same God that chose Mary to carry the Christ child is the same God that has chosen you to be His vessel and carry His anointing.
If you only knew the God that called Peter to walk on the water, if it is you Lord call me to you.
If you only knew the God that can quench every thirst and feed you mamma from Heaven.
