Theme: Jesus has need of you

Text: March 11:1-11

Honour to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Mark 11:1-11
As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’”
4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
“Hosanna!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

11 Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

1. Jesus knows where you are

2. Jesus is sending for you

3. Jesus wants to set you free

4. Jesus needs you

5. Jesus wants to change your life

1. Jesus knows where you are

Jesus knows your address, He knows what you are going through and He wants to change your circumstances. He wants to help you, no one may know that you are tied up but Jesus wants to loose you and cares enough for you to untie you and bring you to Him.
There may be some people in your life that want to tie you up, but Jesus wants to become your owner, He wants to untie you and loose you.

2. Jesus is sending for you
God wants to change your position and move you to a better place through the Holy Spirit and His Word.
He sends for you thought His servants, through a song, He convicts you to move, to come back to Him. Jesus gave His disciples the authority to loose the colt. As ministers of God we can loose you by the Power of God. So be loosed and be free.

3. Jesus wants to set you free.
It was never Gods intention for mankind to not be free. Jesus gave His life so that we may be free through Salvation. He wants you to be free, He wants to take over ownership of your life, He has a plan for you, You can make many plans, but the LORD's purpose will prevail. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. The Lord had need of you.
God is bring us to a point of acknowledging that God is all we need.

4. Jesus needs you.
He wants to get your attention, He wants to be our employer. He wants to be our LORD.
He wants to use us for His honour and glory. God is over the nations, He is over Barbados, as a result of what we are going through many will come to God. Put Jesus first, give Him a place, a position in your life. God wants to untie you, who held you back.

5. Jesus wants to change your life for good so you won’t change back. That little colt was useless until Jesus sat on him.
Jesus wants to move you from a position of having no assignment to a place of use, no purpose to a place of purpose. As Jesus rode on that colt, he moved from a useless little donkey, from a little nobody, to a colt with a purpose. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
God wants to come now and remove you from that dark place.
If God can use a donkey he can use you. God is good at bringing people into their purpose.

So today in our lockdown we lift up our heads, our gates to praise God. We open up our heats to Jesus the king of glory.

Open up the Parliament and let the King of Glory come in
Open up the Senate and let the King of Glory come in
Open our Schools and let the King of Glory come in
Open our Communities and let the King of Glory come in
Open our Lives and let him ride through triumphantly

Just as many people spread their cloaks on the road,
Take off all the weights and through them at the feet at Jesus
Your fears, and sickness through them at the feet of Jesus.
Come freely and like the colt who joined the greatest ‘Praise Break’ join the host of angels that worship Him now singing…

“Hosanna!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

Are we ready to receive the King as He comes again in glory. All that is happening is preparation for Jesus’ soon coming return.

Give Jesus the ownership of His church, Lord of our lives and His people. We are His people and the sheep of His pastor.

We pray against everything that has held you back, that you will hear Gods voice today and surrender your life to Jesus so He can have ownership of your life.

During the time of the plague in Egypt God instructed the Israelites to put the blood on the door post and go inside and eat that lamb, Jesus is our Lamb and we stay indoors and eat His body and blood.

Jesus is Lord over Barbados, over my life, Jesus is lord forever.
