Speaker: Apostle Dr Lucille Baird Title: What are you doing here? Bible Text: 1 Kings 19:1 -9 What are you doing in the valley when God wants to use you? Why are you in the valley when God wants you on the mountain top Word is over you and you know a God of fire You don’t belong in the valley keep your fire burning. How did you get there? Elijah is a man that connected his alter to God and he connected to God and God showed off. The fire of God came down and they had to say ‘The LORD he is God’ The devil came against him 1 Kings 19:1 Done - the devil is after you because of what you have done What you are going is breaking up the kingdom of darkness Stay on the mountain top and pray don’t go down into the valley A messenger was sent to Elijah 1 Kings 19: 2 Prophets always have armored bearers but Elijah’s must have slacked and bad news got to him Be careful what message you are listening to God has a messenger as well, the Holy Spirit So reject the devils messenger refuse it, reject it, rebuke it. Have another message ready to counterattack, with God’s message Stand on His Word and His promises 1 Kings 19:3 He ran instead of calling down fire He should have shown her of what His God could do, he remembered she was a prophet killer. Stand and face the devil do not let him run you. Assignment were sent against Elijah and he forgot that His God was able. Only take messages from God 1 Kings 19:4 Don’t be driven into a spiritual wilderness Elijah said ‘I have had enough Thank God Jesus did not say I have had enough God is building character What happened to his ancestors in the wilderness? They died and that is how discouraged Elijah was with a suicidal spirit 1 Kings 19:5 God says arise and eat He fell asleep, he remained a long time, he festered, a man that should be doing God’s will was asleep. But God has divine provision Is coming to you God is sending an angel to turn your situation around Circumstances will turn around Don’t look to man look to God believe God Rise up and be under God’s divine order 1 Kings 19:6 1 Kings 19:7 Double portion Give me a second touch 1 Kings 19:8 Sustained in the wilderness God is strengthening you You will not fail |
