SERMON NOTES: October 11th 2020

Speaker: Apostle Dr Lucille Baird Title: The Waiting Season Bible Text: Isaiah 40:29-31

29 29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

If God gave you what He promises without you being processed, you will loose your blessing.

When the eagle is going through the process he has to pluck out his old feathers but in the waiting season God is about to mount him up.

Plucked is a bloody process and we must also go through this process. It’s die or fly. They cannot fly to the heights unless they have new feathers.

When you are going through the waiting season be of good courage and He will strengthen you.

Sometimes in the waiting season you will get insults and abuse, people will try to discourage you. But pluck out the old things, let go, separate if needed. It’s painful but it’s worth it because you are coming out as a new person.

God is renewing your strength. Don’t get mad at God. He is in control, count your blessings. You are going to another level . To another place of ministry and deeper level of understanding.

When Job was going through his season of bad news he waited on God because he was going somewhere with God.

In your waiting season don’t give up, you are coming out to a better place, this season will come to pass.

In your season blood will be shed but He will pour in the oil and renew your strength. You are not going to stay where you are now, this season will pass. The devil has lost the battle.

God will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemy.

God will bring you out, it’s not a permanent season only a waiting season. Do not make a permanent decision when you are going through a temporary situation

The eagle sours to higher heights. God will release you from a place of darkness. Don’t believe the lies of the devil believe the truth of the Word of God.


You will sour, you will increase.
You will increase quickly.
You will sour to a higher more exhausted level.
To rise to a majestic statue.

God wants to bless His church, the devil wants to have you discouraged.

We, like the eagle, must wait. God goes through everything with you. You are more than a conqueror.

It’s not negative, waiting can be one of the greatest period of your life.

When the caterpillar metamorphosis takes place it changes into a beautiful butterfly.

We must go through our waiting season, if you wait you shall renew your strength.

The renewed eagle flys to the sun. We must fly to the Son of God.

He will bring you out. He will give you new feathers, a new life. Only free from past burdens can enable us to move forward. From pain to purpose , no pain no gain.

Eagles don’t fly low, they sour high.
