OPERATING UNDER THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

Rev Gail Price Speaker: Rev Gail Price
Theme: And God will stop for you
Text: Luke 7: 11-17

Luke 7: 11-17 11 Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. 12 As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.”
14 Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” 15 The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
16 They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.”

God is a good, good Father he sent his son to heal the sick to bind up the broken hearted.

If God has said it, He will do it. Don’t look in the natural every word will be accomplished.

Vs 12 As he approached the town gate.
Too often the gates are places where we just pass people and not even feel their pain but Jesus stopped at the gate and He is doing it again he is stopping just for you.

Jesus say her with compassion and he was moved deeply. His soul hurt for the widow of Nain. He is the God and Father of us all and he felt compassion.

The woman was a widow, the breadwinner had gone and now the young son was dead.

But whatever is dead the Lord has come and stopped for you.

Vs 13 he said, “Don’t cry.” She was bawling and the Lord heard her.

The Lord has seen you and he has come today to deliver you.

The Lord needs to stop in Barbados and cause a shift in our situation.

Vs 14 The Lord has come to stop the funeral director and the mourners.

There are times when you have to tell the mourners all things work for your good.
Don’t let them mourn Jesus is coming to stop that funeral procession.

We pull them out of darkness and draw them into his glorious light. Victory belongs to Jesus.

14 Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still.

As a Rabbi he should not have been touching anything dead. But Jesus is zeros in on the woman and her dead son. Ever dead thing must rise.

He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”

When Jesus speaks the dead things in your life will sit up and begin to talk.

The grave clothes are coming off of you today. The Lord has stopped for you today
Some of you may have been weeping for years but today Jesus as stopped.
He is standing to make intercession for you. Your time is waiting is coming to an end.

You have persevered and now Jesus is coming to you and He will not delay the answers to your prayers.
Amen
