March 24th 2019 Sermon Notes:
OPERATING UNDER THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD
 |
Speaker: Apostle Dr. Lucille Baird
Theme: The anguish of victory
Text: Matthew 26- 28
We super impose the will and purpose of God over our lives in Jesus name.
|
We are empowered to take the city.
We are anointed to set the captives free
We are appointed to go to dangerous places like Chapman Lane, God has an agenda we have to move when God says move, this is our now season.
Allow your feet to touch the ground thats the only way you can claim it. You’re anointed to claim the land. You will be strategically placed to fulfill your role in the earth.
Let the devil know that we are taking back our Land our Sons and Daughters.
Our guns are fully loaded with the 66 shots, the books of the Bible!
We have weapons of mass destruction against the devil.
God is raising up an Army. The Angels of the Lord encamped about them that fear the lord and are called into his purpose.
You are guaranteed the victory.
The anguish of victory
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We want to have victory but we want to stay safely in our homes we want to avoid the anguish. You have to get on the ground God is looking for a David who will come up against the uncircumcised Philistines.
Jesus was familiar with the anguish of victory, Jesus said as he suffered so we will suffer. You have to experience the anguish of victory.
Psalm 91: 1-2
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Jesus experiences anguish
Matthew 26: 37 -38
37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”
When the soul is overwhelmed it is deep anguish, Jesus when there on His way to victory.
Matthew 26: 39
39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
Yet, Nevertheless, God will see you through.
You have to endure your test, you have to experience the pain or no gain.
You have to go through but God is going through with you He will see you through
Matthew 26: 40
40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.
We are called to pursue God’s will at all costs
Matthew 27:28-31
28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, 29 and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said. 30 They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again. 31 After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.
Joseph was stripped
Jesus was stripped
There is victory coming
Matthew 28: 1- 6
1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
He rose victoriously and went from victory to glory
Revelation 7: 9- 14
9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”
14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
I am victorious
