March 10th Sermon Notes:

OPERATING UNDER THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

Theme: For those that have been waiting for a long time cont:

I will enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: I will be thankful unto Him, and bless his name.

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

When we worship God it becomes beneficial to us because as our praises go up the blessings come down, God uses your worship to give you victory, He will send an ambush against your enemy.

God has a plan for you

Luke 8:26
They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, which is across the lake from Galilee.

Whenever he devil comes after you persistently it is because he is after your territory that God has assigned to us.

The trials and fire are bringing out the gold in you, the character is being established and we want to fight the process. God want to make something precious out of you so stay in the refining fire.

Verse 27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town.

The demonizes man had to push pass everyone and make sure he was there when Jesus arrived so he could fall down and worship him.

Verse 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!”

Verse 29 For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit to come out of the man.

Jesus didn’t talk to the demons he drove them out. Sometimes Jesus healed the sick, But other times he cast out demons he tortured or tormented them.

Jesus said He has given us authority to cast out demons.

Verse 38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.

While we are waiting:

1. While waiting worship.
While you are waiting stay in worship mode. Praise God, jump and leap like the man at the gate.

11 Samuel 30:1 - 2
David and his men reached Ziklag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it, 2 and had taken captive the women and everyone else in it, both young and old. They killed none of them, but carried them off as they went on their way.

1 Samuel 30: 6
6 David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.
7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelek, ‘Bring me the ephod.’

David went into worship mode.

You have wept enough, time to get up and start serving where God has called you.

Don’t let the devil put you in a place of:
Depressed
Oppressed
Possessed

Stop crying and be still before the Lord He wants to speak to you, to give you direction.

He gave David strategy He said:
Pursue
Overtake Recover

What do you do when you don’t feel like worshiping? You worship.

What do you do in the midnight hour of despair? You worship

Acts 16:25 -26
25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.

Paul became beneficial because as his praises go up the blessings cane down, God uses his worship to give him victory, He will shake things on your behalf, He will send an earthquake for you

Job’s wife told him to curse God and die and Job told his wife to shut up, stop listening to negative talk. Surround people that support and encourage you.

Stop complaining it slow the process down so not charge God with unrighteousness He will always reward your good works, wait on the Lord .

Isaiah 40:31
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Don’t take the counterfeit wait for the original, don’t try to help God out and end up with an Ishmael.

Psalm 27:13-14
13 I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.

Rebuke the devil with a song, you will see God’s goodness.

A woman must wait for 9 months don’t abort the birth prematurely, wait for the pain and push, no pain no gain.

While you wait on God give God what is His:
Your Time
Your Tithe
Your Talents
Your Trust
