OPERATING UNDER THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

Rev Gail Price Speaker: Rev Gail Price
Theme: Jesus will keep his appointment with you
Text: John 5 : 1-9; Mark 8:22-29

At The appointed time Jesus came: took on the form of man, walked the earth, died on the cross, rose from the dead, went up to glory.

The devil has an appointed time: the legion in Matt 8 spoke of it and Revelation speaks of the lake of fire reserved for him.

We have an appointed time from heaven: Ps 139 speaks of it and God knew the moment we would say yes to him.

We miss appointments, get there late or refuse to go but Jesus will still keep his. There are some areas and locations and destinations and people that we haven't kept our appointment with. Jesus will make sure we will keep them.

Appointed: Decided on before hand, scheduled, agreed upon, pre-ordained
Appointment: An arrangement to meet someone at a particular time and place.

1. John 5 :1-9 The Man at the pool of Bethesda
He had an appointment but he was always late. We may be late but Jesus will always meet us . We might be impeded or stuck, Jesus will pass by.

Bethesda is called Mercy and the 5 porches is a sign of Grace but crowds of desperate sick people were always there.

Jesus zeroed in on the man and asked a question: "Will you be made whole?" The Man was so focused on The pool that he answered only about getting to the pool.

Too often Jesus is right there beside us and we are looking at the pool of our hurt, the pool of our fears and finances and our problems, our our our....... when the King of Kings is right there to heal and deliver.

Jesus wants to zero in on you: The appointment with Jesus in the midst of your trouble will not bring you bad news, or demote you or fire you but to heal you and deliver you.

Don't mind you are late God will be there.!!!!!

Come out of your spiritual paralysis; of your sickness and false hope. Jesus loves us enough to enter into our mess and pain and despair. He is keeping His appointment. Don't think of Jesus as no volunteer like the lame man no helper he is greater than any Angel and he's coming for you. He is meeting you at your pool. The man obeyed the command and got up took his mat and walked. Jesus saw that the man had Faith to be healed but was out of focus . Jesus will keep you focused on Him.

2. The Blind man at Bethesda. Mark 8:22-26

He was led to Jesus by people, nothing said he wanted to be healed, because he was blind he had no idea what was happening around him. Jesus can instantly heal you or he takes a longer route, The measure of your Faith determines the process the Lord will take to heal or deliver you.

The blind man was standing there a little lost and hopeless but Jesus took his hand. Sometimes our Faith is not as strong and we feel hopeless, take Jesus hand.

Jesus took him away from the crowd , that is alone time. Jesus will do whatever it takes to get us alone with Him, away from friends and family so he can speak to you.

May He speak to your heart, reveal his fairest beauty; let the hand of your heart feel his hand stretch out to grasp yours. That is the start of Faith. Follow Jesus that will start you believing.

No one ever touched that blind man in the area of his weakness; they helped him along but no one pinpointed on to his weak area. Jesus went straight to his weakness and used His Anointed Saliva. Oh that Jesus would spit in our eyes!!!!!!!!

God will process you, we always look for the big miracle and instant wonder when Jesus will do the small thing that will build our Faith.

Jesus touched him where he was grieved the most, where he was incapacitated the mistake he wants to touch us is the same way.

He just saw a blur or glimmer that's all Jesus needed to hear that he had started a process then Jesus laid hand again and told him look up. As he looked he saw clearly and who did he see? He beheld the face of Jesus, The fairest of ten thousand, the bright and morning star.

God will move you from your pool and he will lead you from the crowd and the measure of your Faith he will use to set you free.

Empowered to do things for God that goes far beyond your imagination. He has made an appointment with you to bind up the broken hearted, preach the good news, loose captives and set free prisoners.

God wants us operating in the Holy Sport, he knows you and he is intimately acquainted with our struggles and stresses and he want to lead you out of that and rescue you. He has mad an appointment with you and it is an Active appointment and he will keep it every time.

We need to keep our appointment with Him by spending alone time with Him, reading his Word and building intimate relationship with Him. Be sensitive to God's Timing and plan for your life and you will be empowered.
