If they had believed they need not have sent out the spies, they wanted to see.
Show me God, but the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God.
They went out and came back with reports. The bad reports spoke first.
Despite what they said Calab said let us go up, we are well able. God had promised them that land and He is a promise keeper. What ever God has said to you as long as you stay in His purpose and will then it will come to pass.
Numbers 13:25
25 At the end of forty days they returned from exploring the land.
God brought them back but they still had a bad report.
Numbers 13:26-27
26 They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit.
Never the less… speak great positive things. Don’t discourage the people, the language made the difference.
Gideon had some grasshoppers with him and God removed them. Those that were just thinking about themselves were grasshoppers and they were sent home. But Gideon’s giants lapped but looked around them, they were the giants, they stayed. So Gideon was left with 300 giants better than 3,000 grasshoppers.
The grasshopper’s bad report:
28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.”
But the giant’s report:
30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
But in the last days the people will be strong and do great exploits
David had to meet a giant but he knew His God was bigger than any giant. He did not achnowledge him as a giant.
The language of the giant is ‘we can do it’
The language of the grasshopper is ‘we can’t do it’
The language of the giant is ‘I don’t care the size of the problem we see the size of God’
The language of the grasshopper is ‘they are bigger and stronger than us’
The language of the giant is ‘we are going up’
The language of the grasshopper is ‘we can’t go up’
They saw themselves as a grasshopper. God had made a promise to the Israelite and when God says He is going to do it for you He is able and He will do it He is a promise keeper, He is a covenant keeper. The land of Cannan was given to the Israelites. They were going in as victors, they went into the battle that was already won. Start speaking to your mountain, if He says it I believe it and it will be.
The church of God are not grasshoppers our Giant died on the cross to make us giants.
When God gives you something you have to do something, you have to start checking out the situation the land etc.
Look at the grace of God on our lives, tell the devil I have looked back and seen what God has done for me in the past, the big grapes that He gave me in the past, and if He did it in the past He will do it in the future.
The word impossible is not in the mouth of a giant only a grasshopper.
God said we were to build this temple and we never said we could not do it. Don’t listen to the voice of the grasshopper listen to God. If it’s small its not God , He likes big things so He can show off His might.
Out of 12 persons that went into the land but only 2 people had a positive report, they all saw the grapes but only two believed. The grasshoppers outnumbered the giants.
Keep your eyes on Jesus , listen to what God is saying to you.
If God has called you to it He will see you through it. Giants listen to the voice of God.
The giants see victory, they see great things happening,
Giants are motivators, they know they can do it
Grasshoppers discourage, giants are encouragers
Grasshoppers give bad reports, giants give good reports.
Grasshoppers are fearful but giants are fearless.
I speak victory, I will possess all that God has promised me.
