OPERATING UNDER THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

Theme: You are anointed to take back territory that belongs to you
Text: Luke 8
Jesus is real and the Holy Spirit is living in you. Stir Him up by worshipping and reading the Word.
It’s ok to fight for territory but you must fight on the right ground and you need to know who you are fighting. You could be like the bird that fights the other bird in the mirror.
You are anointed not only to take territory but also to take back what has been taken from you.
Our number one adversary is the devil.
God is about pursuing and breaking the yoke of the devil who has stolen and taken your territory. God comes to give life and give it more abundantly.
The devil wants territory, he is after your territory, he sees you in the future and he wants to stop you. He wants to sabotage your ministry. He sees the territory you will take and the devil is after.
Satan saw the territory in the man in Luke 8 and he had bound him for years. He chained his hands and shackles his feet.
So when the devil realized that Jesus was going to help him he sent a storm
But nothing can stop GOD from coming for you when it’s your season. When he stops and spend time with you he leaves a territorial anointing upon you.
Luke 8:23
23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
But Jesus pushes on he was on an assignment.
Luke 8: 26- 28
26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
V27 Jesus has just landed on your behalf, the seas were rough but Jesus landed.
The devil has the man naked, for a long time he was naked and in a dead situation amongst the tombs. But Jesus just landed for your cause. Both the devil and Jesus saw the potential in him.
V28 There are two conversation were going on.
a. The man wanted to worship Jesus he fell before him in worship
b. The demon knew his time was up he was begging not to be tormented.
The Holy Spirit drives you to worship
The demon drives you to isolation, lions pick off stragglers.
The spirit of the lord pushes you to fellowship with others in contrast the devil pushes you into a deserted place.
Luke 8:29-31
29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
They did not want to go to the deep Abyss they preferred the pigs because they still had territory.
God is keeping you alive today because you have territory to take.
You have a sound mine.
You’re being restored.
You’re set free
You were isolated in a tomb but JESUS has called you out and set you free
God kept this young man who had upwards of 5,000 demons in him, God kept him because he had purpose and destiny.
It’s time to take back, this young man got back his mind, God restored him.
Luke 8: 34-35
34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.
35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
Some people would rather save the pigs than have Jesus deliver the man.
Luke 8: 38-39
38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.
The man went and took back the territory, the same man that was in the tomb was now saving people from the tomb.
Everyone deserted him, was afraid of him, but Jesus landed.
God is about restoration, take it back all that the devil has stolen, Jesus has landed.
Jesus went all that way for just one man. He will go through storms for the one man, for you.
The reckless love of God drove Jesus to the one man because he knew he had territory to conquer.
Oh the reckless love that the lord has for his people that he will go through a storm just for ONE person. There’s no wall he won’t kick down just for one person for him to assign him his territory. You will no longer be disgraced, you are loose to fulfill God’s promises and purpose.
GOD SAYS COME FORTH.
Jesus landed for him and he returned to Gadara one of the Decapolis, or "Ten Cities," that were originally inhabited making up the country of the Gadarenes, he became an Evangelist.
Too long in the tomb, too long dead, in a dry situation, no fellowship? God is calling you out from that dead situation.
Too long naked, no purpose, no mission? Jesus loose you, like He did him into your destiny.
