Apostle Dr. Lucille Baird Speaker:Apostle Dr. Lucille Baird
Theme:
Text: John 11: 1- 6 and 32-35

Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.) 3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”
4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” 5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days,
32 When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. 34 “Where have you laid him?” he asked.
“Come and see, Lord,” they replied.
35 Jesus wept.
36 Then the Jews said, “See how he loved him!”
37 But some of them said, “Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?”

He is a friend of ours as well, He is concerned about what is happening to us. But even though Jesus loves us things don’t always go as we expect. If you don’t go though a test you will not have a testimony.
His friend Lazarus was sick, but even though he knew he went in the opposite direction. But He had a plan. Jesus has a plan for you, to bless you and give you the best that is for you.
Even in a state of death Jesus can turn up. You may have a death to your ministry, your vision, your marriage but Jesus knows all about your problem. He has a plan for you. God is still a healer and he will make a miracle out of someone.

1. The prognosis
2. The place
3. The pronouncement
4. The end result

1. The prognosis
What is your prognosis? Whatever the devil has assigned against you he cannot change God’s plan for your life. In this case Lazarus was sick, died and was in advance decay.
If you have a prognosis that is in advance decay, God is going to change that prognosis, even though it does not look good. Things may have deteriorated to the point of no hope. But the God that can change prognosis is here and its not over until He says it’s over.
Mary blamed Jesus for their brother’s death. Mary said “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” Why didn’t you come back but she fell at his feet and worshiped Jesus, she knew now something could happen. She knew that there was still hope. God is going to repair your situation, you are coming back better than before because Jesus is coming back to your home, your community, your family, your church.

Get back into your prayer room and invite Jesus to be Lord in your prayer room.

2. The place.
Jesus asked “Where have you laid him?” Our problem is we don’t show God what our problem is, show Him what is causing you pain. It’s not that Jesus did not know, but He wanted Mary to show him the place. “Come and see, Lord,” they replied. Mary was not holding back, she said “Come and see, Lord,” Jesus wants to be shown. Where the problem is, where you went wrong. Tell Jesus today, show Him your problem today, where you messed up, show Jesus.

John 11: 38-39
Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39 “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”
Jesus did not say you stink, lets get our of here. No Jesus wanted to go to the place, were there was death and decay. But Jesus did not care, He loved Lazarus and He wanted to manifest the glory of God. Lazarus was in the place behind the stone. Jesus could have moved the stone himself, He wanted to make a pronouncement but the stone had to be removed. “Take away the stone,” he said. He wanted them to cooperate with Him. He wants the stone to be removed from your heart. Do not have a hardened heart,
a reprobate, where you cannot respond to God’s word. That is what the word does it goes out and you need to respond. When the stone is removed the stench will be smelt, but God will tolerate the stench. He wants to clean you up and take away the smell.

3. The pronouncement
After the stone was removed Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” Jesus knows your name. Whatever is dead must come to life again. Come forth. Cry out to God to remove the stone and shake all that is dead, come back from the dead. God is speaking to every dead situation and calling it forth. Remove the stony attitude and come forth.
44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”

Loose everyone today that has been locked behind a stone.

4. The end result was the Lazarus was restored and a family was comforted and Jesus was glorified.
