Speaker:Apostle Chris Baird
Theme:As in the time of Noah Part 2
Text: Genesis 6:1-3, 5-8
1 When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.
I the midst of desperate times and situations there is always hope and there are individuals who find favor in the eyes of the Lord.
Fix your eyes on God and you will find grace in God’s sight. May our hearts be open to God. He sees everything and He knows all.
Genesis 6: 11- 22
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress[c] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high 16 Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. 17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. 19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive while ith you. 20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. 21 You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”
22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him.
Even today in Barbados we are living in dangerous times. The door of mercy is still open. God never sends a judgment before He sends a warning. God is not short on mercy but we must come to Him and ask.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
It takes character and courage to stand against that which is wrong in our world.
Sometimes we look at the wealthy that have it easy and we feel like we might stumble but that is when we must keep our eyes on God we are not defined by our circumstances we are defined by what God says about us.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
Psalm 30:5
Family is important to God.
Genesis 6:18
18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.
Men stand up and get into the right position and lead your family to God. Repent and turn from your sins and be free. Stand in the gap like Noah and bring your families into the presence of God.
7 The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
Noah has rejected the culture of the day.
Imagine the criticism he endured all those years as he built an Ark. The people’s heart were so far from God that they couldn’t hear from God.
The Ark was a place to meet God. Come to God with respect and awe. He wants to make a difference in your life.
God will drive away your enemies, call on Him. The Ark was Noah’s salvation but now we have Jesus. Give Him room in your life.
Establish an alter in your home, if it is absent something will fill that space. There will be confusion. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.
God never forces Himself into your life but Satan will force himself on you. Keep your eyes fixed on God. For he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Your greatest hinderance is when you do not trust in God.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight
